My Life Without Microbe Reflections

Life Without Microbe (LWM) 25/5/2015

   Syukur Alhamdulillah, the biggest event for this semester which is life without microbe was successfully held on Friday 22/may/2015 .Although, the events should be held on the Thursday, but after few adjustment,the events was held on Friday.This is because of the school that we invited cannot come and was replaced by another school in the last minute.For the exhibition and the registration part was quite disorganize at the starting because we had food microbe class we did not manage to put the poster before the school came. But we still manage to explain about our poster.After the exhibition part the school student went up to the DKU for the activities prepared for them. Not all the activities can be played by the because of the limiting time.

I think this LWM events was successful but there is a few thing that i want to comment;

-The way and time when the biochem & biocell student approaches us for interview is not suitable.
 This is because we were busy entertaining the school student playing with the activities provided.
-Maybe if they came for interview when we were explaining at the exhibition site, it is more  appropriate and we can give more time for their interview session.
-The technical part must always alert with the music, because when someone is talking or explaining, the music is still loud ,so the instruction given by the facilitator is not very clearly hear.

here are some pictures at the LWM events ;

10th ecomicrobe journal

     For this week we learn about food spoilage topics. Group 1 has done the flipped class material for this topics. I  really like their powtoon video. It is really awesome and easy to understand. There are various type or source of food spoilage can occur to our food.There are also good and bad food spoilage.The good food spoilage example is like fermentation, which this process can enhance the taste of the food.For the bad food spoilage process, example like fungal or mould growth on the bread.The most important thing is we must make sure the food that we are going to consume ere in good condition. We also do socrative quiz made by Dr.Wan.

We also do the quiz on this topics. Below are the link for the flipped classroom material :

9th ecomicrobe journal

8 May 2015

     For this week we were focusing on test 2. On thursday we finish the human microbiome topic and do some revision on the topic to be tested for test 2.On friday we take the test 2. Based on my opinion, for this test 2 is quiet hard for me because the question has a lot of terms to remember. The question also not very direct question. The socrative.com quiz that Dr. Wan gave us is actually very useful, but if the quiz is given earlier, maybe we can answer some of the question easily. Thats all what i feel about the test.
